Today is hectic, you have minimal time for exercise? Can you commit a minute every couple of hours to get the juices flowing?
Workout Mommy offers a challenge in:”It’s just one minute….”
“You have one minute for each. Your challenge? How many can you do?”
PUSH UPS– “How to do properly”
SQUATS– “How to do properly”
JUMPING JACKS– “How to do Properly”
CRUNCHES– “How to do properly”
“You can do anything for one minute, yes? “
I am not suggesting that you should replace your fitness routine with these exercises. If possible use these exercises in addition to your fitness routine.

If you are watching TV at night, remember that commercial breaks are TWO minutes, so you can get two of these done! π

What a great way for beginners to start! I wish there was a seminar at the gym so boys would extend their arms all the way when they lift. They look so stupid when do it totally wrong and me, a tiny chick is silently critiquing : )

@Runner Girl, Ha! You are so right! π

Good tips, do you have any advice for an exercise for lower abs which it’s not too hard on your back?
Thanks
———————————
@Alex Costa, When I have lower back issues, I will do leg lifts and hold while placing my hands under the small of my back. Also, check out this link for more information…..

I think the jumping jack is the most undervalued of all exercises.
@John, The jumping jack is a good one!

Great idea! One minute of exercise is so manageable and un-intimidating on a busy day.
Nice blog too. I’m looking forward to reading more!

I am thinking of doing a post next week called “The best exercises you aren’t doing.” I think you will enjoy it. The Jumping Jack might make the list.

i have been doing 1-min exercises whenever I can. My favorite is standing as high up on my tip toes while I wash dishes π
@Annette, Working those calves!

Hi, this is my first time reading your blog and I really enjoyed this post because my coach strongly believes that the three most important exercises someone should do are push-ups, squats, and crunches!! right on with your post!

It is amazing how strong I feel after doing pushups and 1 minute is long time in “pushup world”.
@blogversary , It certainly is! π
I never thought to do this. Sounds like a great idea π I may try today, but will take it easy, I’m incredibly sort from yesterday’s workout.
