Is it difficult to find time to get a workout in? I have a routine that is certain to get you going.
Do you have 20 minutes? Sure you do…let’s go!
1-Run in place – 3 minutes (run the stairs for a tougher challenge)
2-Mountain Climbers – 30 seconds (increase to 60 seconds for more difficulty)
3-Jump Squats -Â 30 seconds (hold hand weights for a more intense challenge)
4- Wall sits – 1 minute (hold arms out in front to increase intensity)
One minute break. Repeat 1-2 times.

Hi Mark,
I like it. I’m a big believer in doing something everyday. Even if it’s only 20 minutes, it will do you a world of good. I like to do mini workouts like this in the morning. It wakes you up, and you don’t need that Starbucks coffee!

@Rosy, I look forward to a full report! π
@David, I agree…keep it moving! Thanks for your input!
This is exactly the kind of workout I am needing today. Thanks!
Hey that’s pretty cool! Nice to get in a quick little something.
Hi Mark!
These are awesome! And as a matter of fact I do have 20 minutes…
I don’t know why sometimes it is so hard for us to just get up. I know the feeling once we do is amazing, so why don’t we get hooked to that amazing rush instead of stagnant immobility…
I think this is something I could do! I will check it out.
Been doing this with my students.

Mountain climbers + jump squats = HARD! A good challenge…
What a great routine! I will definitely use this!
My current 20 minute challenge is to do 20 minutes at once on my new elliptical. But I can do the water drinking part of the challenge!
Water is not always an ally. The diet prescribed fro people with Congestive Heart Failure (like me) limits you to 2000 ml liquid per day.
I’ve been fighting a non-cardiac problem lately and haven’t been able to walk for 13 straight DAYS! Was able to get on the treadmill last night and walked two miles! π My legs were screaming but I’m glad to get back to it!
thanks for the water reminder…..harder to get in during the winter month it seems π
I love anything that only lasts for 20 minutes…..because that’s about all the time I can get some days!
@Lori, Awesome!
@Marcy, Oh yes indeed! π

I love your challanges!
I have actually used these exercises in a quick at home workout – killer! They work. Thanks for sharing them with the masses!!
Love it! Gonna get on that right now, seeing as how the rain is a de-motivating factor today! Thanks Mark!
@Dr. J, not for you my friend! π
@bobbi, thanks Bobbi!
@Stacey Shipman, They certainly are!
@Rupal, Awesome! Go strong!
Wow a true workout!!

Stephanie is so wise!
Great challenge.
Mark, Your energy is infectious. Not to be confused with Charlotte’s post today.
This is a great workout for busy people. They can even do it during their lunch or coffee break.
I LOVE these challenges. No excuse to get a move on everyday. I mentioned them on my blog today as a reminder to exercise even when time is limited. Thanks Mark! -Kami

We do have 20minutes. But we always give ourselves lots of excuses to put the 20minutes into exercising our body! I have to discipline myself to go gym at least minimum 2 times a week too! For better health, we need to put in effort and time.
